In the midst of a severe thunderstorm on Tuesday afternoon, St. Rita’s Catholic Church on Dunmanway caught fire. The blaze began around 3:15 p.m. and was under control as of 3:45 p.m.

Two-alarm fire reported at Dundalk church

DUNDALK, MD—Crews are on the scene of a fire at a Dundalk-area church. The fire broke out at just after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, in the 2900-block of Dunleer Road at St. George’s & St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. Baltimore County Fire Department crews arrived to fire showing from the structure. Crews are actively working to extinguish the fire and a second alarm has been sounded.
