Pune: The Maharashtra Public Works Department (PWD) has proposed a ₹12,000 crore four-lane highway to address rising traffic congestion in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The 135-kilometre-long highway will connect Shirur, Chakan, Talegaon, Shiroli, Karjat, and JNPT (Uran), providing an alternative route for vehicles traveling between Marathwada and Mumbai.
