Volvic to appeal after French court rules green claims were misleading
The bottled water brand Volvic has been found guilty of “misleading commercial practices” by the Paris Commercial Court over environmental claims made on its mineral water bottles, including that they were “carbon neutral” or “100 percent recyclable”.
The mineral water brand, which will appeal the decision, will have to pay €75,000 in damages to CLCV, and publish the judgment on the home page of its website for 6 months.

The court in Paris found the mineral water company guilty of "deceptive commercial practices" due to certain signs on the label of its plastic bottles. Volvic now intends to appeal.
