Jaylen Brown says he has no beef with former Celtics teammate Jayson Tatum
Tatum said the trade fallout should not overshadow the pair’s championship run and said direct communication could calm the online speculation.
- On Friday, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum publicly rejected claims of animosity toward former teammate Jaylen Brown, calling the persistent narrative 'frustrating' and urging fans to celebrate their shared 2024 championship instead.
- Tensions escalated after Tatum claimed in a recent video that he was 'just as much caught off guard' by Brown's July trade to the Philadelphia 76ers, prompting Brown to post a 'cap' emoji on social media.
- Following his 27-point performance on Saturday, Brown insisted there is 'no beef' with Tatum, though he sarcastically suggested there might be 'a little lamb chops and some gravy' instead.
- Rejecting comparisons to the infamous Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant feud, Tatum lamented how social media has inflamed the situation and emphasized that a private conversation could resolve the speculation.
- Media scrutiny remains high ahead of the Celtics' visit to Philadelphia on November 10, marking the first of four regular-season matchups between the teams as the narrative surrounding the former co-stars continues.
