Highland, Scotland · HighlandBaw Baw Shire residents who have outstanding fines for failure to vote in last year's local council elections are being urged to act now.
The Victorian Electoral Commission warned residents who receive a penalty reminder notice not to ignore it. The penalty notices, which residents may have received last week, now carry a fee of $29.20 in addition to the original $99 fine. Failure to act will see the matter referred to Fines Victoria.
