According to the CPSC, approximately 113,440 Electric Kettles (ENFINIGY 1.5 l and ENFINIGY Pro 1.5 l) were recalled because the kettle's handle can loosen and separate from the kettle, causing hot contents to spill, posing a risk of serious injury.

There have been several reports of that happening with one incident leading to a burn.
