Reformed Bishop Zoltán Balog is ready to appear and answer questions if summoned by the parliamentary committee investigating those responsible for the pardon scandal. The church leader has previously admitted that he played a role in the controversial presidential pardon of Endre K., 24.hu reported.
The Reformed Church District of Dunammelléki announced that Zoltán Balog would appear before the committee investigating the case and answer its questions.
The church district of the former Fidesz politician and minister has reacted to the possibility that Zoltán Balog might also be questioned by the new parliamentary investigation committee investigating the details of the pardon scandal. The Reformed bishop had previously asked Katalin Novák to exonerate Endre K., who was involved in the Bicske child abuse case, but now he has made an important commitment.
The Reformed bishop will comply with the request, at least according to his claim.
