Several teams from the Arro Ypres police zone closed off part of the Grote Markt in Ypres yesterday to ensure the safest possible use of fireworks. Bombs and other projectiles landed under vehicles driving through the Grote Markt shortly before midnight. Setting off fireworks is prohibited in Ypres, except on New Year's Eve between 11:30 PM and 1:00 AM.
