Young fly-half Moyo to debut for Springboks against Wales
The 20-year-old former world under-20 champion is one of four new caps as Rassie Erasmus rotates the Springboks squad.
On Monday, Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus named four uncapped players to debut against Wales in Saturday's Nations Championship fixture in Durban: flyhalf Vusi Moyo, wing Jaco Williams, lock Ruben van Heerden, and prop Carlu Sadie.
Erasmus is rotating the squad to build depth for the 2027 World Cup, fulfilling a promise to give every player in his expanded group a chance to prove themselves at the highest level.
The team features 10 changes from the side that beat Scotland 42-28 last weekend, with captain Pieter-Steph du Toit leading in the absence of Siya Kolisi.
Wales arrives in Durban following a 35-21 loss to Argentina last week; Erasmus stated he remains "under no illusions about the threat Wales poses" despite the debutants' youth.
South Africa enters this fixture leading the Southern Hemisphere table with 10 points, aiming to maintain momentum from consecutive victories against England and Scotland in the Nations Championship.
