About 14 percent of the inhabitants of Tilburg were members of the library last year — virtually the same as a few years earlier. This is evident from figures from Statistics Netherlands (CBS) and the National Library of the Netherlands (KB).
The number of Dutch people who are members of a library has increased further, and it is primarily young adults. In that category, the number of memberships rose by nearly 22 percent last year.
Young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 are visiting the library more and more often.
