Record heat grips Finland with storms in the southwest
Temperatures across Finland rose above 30°C on Monday, breaking the national summer record for the second consecutive day. The Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) reported a high of 31.6°C in Kaskinen, Ostrobothnia, on Monday afternoon. The extreme heat follows a cooler and wetter start to the summer. Sunday’s previous high of 31.5°C, also recorded in Kaskinen, lasted less than 24 hours before being surpassed.
The summer heat record was broken today, Monday.
The summer's new temperature record was broken again in Sälgrund, Kaskinen, Ostrobothnia. According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the temperature was measured at 31.6 degrees at 1:30 PM on Monday afternoon.
It will be warm enough on Monday.
