At an extraordinary session on the 17th, the Yamaga City Council approved by a majority vote the appointment of former Superintendent of Education Koichiro Hotta (73) of Kikuka Town to the vacant position. Regarding the selection of the Superintendent of Education, Mayor Junichi Hayata had proposed the same personnel plan at the regular session in March. However, it was rejected by a minority vote in an anonymous ballot.
