ESPN To Present Custom 'Moment Of The Night' Title After Each Night Of WWE SummerSlam - Wrestling Inc.
ESPN says the title will recognize standout WWE Premium Live Event moments, with a winner selected after each night of SummerSlam.
Ahead of the two-day SummerSlam event, ESPN announced the 'Moment of the Night Championship,' a new title designed to recognize standout performances and moments from WWE Premium Live Events.
Since WWE moved its premium live events to ESPN in September 2025, the partnership has grown significantly, with wrestlers regularly appearing on ESPN programming and the network expanding its sports marketing initiatives.
The championship belt features both WWE and ESPN logos, with the SportsCenter emblem on a side plate. A winner will be selected after each night, though the selection criteria remain undisclosed.
Beyond the new title, ESPN is hosting the 'Very Nice, Very Evil' SummerSlam Freeze Tour, featuring a popsicle truck with Danhausen. Lucas Ferraro, senior director of sports marketing at ESPN, said the goal is creating "a one-of-a-kind experience" for fans.
SummerSlam features high-profile matches including Punk defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins challenging Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. The Hell in a Cell match between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar is also possible.
