The WVU basketball program landed a commitment from Weber State transfer guard Niyol Hauet Friday, he announced on Instagram. Hauet will move to West Virginia and join the Big 12 after redshirting his lone season at Weber State. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound guard was born in Yokohama, Japan and played at Ogden High School in Utah. In his senior season from 2023-24, he averaged 12.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
