Wrong-way Driver Causes Crash in New Madrid County
On Tuesday, November 25th, the MSHP responded to a two vehicle accident in New Madrid County on I-55 Northbound, at the 47 mile marker. The crash occurred at 5:43pm when a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 74 year old male from Howardsville, travelled the wrong direction on the highway and struck a 2022 Kenworth. The driver of the Equinox sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Francis in Cape Girardeau.
