World Darts Championship star axed from Ally Pally after failing drug test
- On Friday, the Darts Regulation Authority announced Dom Taylor, 27-year-old Bristol darts player, has been suspended from the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace after an adverse test on Sunday 14 December.
- The PDC and DRA said routine in-competition testing at the 2025-26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace led to the DRA being notified of an adverse analytical finding on Friday.
- Taylor, the world's 65th ranked player, beat Oskar Lukasiak 3-0 in the first round to reach the second round and was making his long-awaited Ally Pally debut after missing last year's tournament due to a prior suspension.
- Jonny Clayton will now advance to the third round, as Taylor has been suspended from DRA-regulated events and removed from the World Championship draw, the DRA said.
- Pending the outcome, the Darts Regulation Authority declined further comment, saying this matter will now be the subject of a disciplinary process under DRA Anti-Doping Rules in a confidential process.
