Nine-Time World Champion Kickboxer Charged with Murder of Teenager in Swansea
Tyler Ford also faces attempted-murder charges after a collision between a car and an off-road bike left one 18-year-old dead, police said.
On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Tyler Ford appeared before Swansea Crown Court charged with murdering 18-year-old Ceiran Evans and attempting to murder a second individual.
The charges follow a collision between a car and an off-road bike on Pen Cae Crwn Road, Gorseinon, on Thursday, July 9, when police were called at 1pm.
Detective Chief Inspector Danielle Thorne of the Major Crime Investigation Team appealed on Friday for witnesses to contact South Wales Police and requested that social media footage not be shared.
Judge Paul Thomas remanded Ford into custody, stating "The next hearing will be September 29 and the defendant will of course remain in custody," with trial set for January 11, 2027.
Evans' family paid tribute on Monday, July 13, describing him as having a "kind heart" and "loving nature," vowing their "precious baby boy" would "always be remembered.
The athlete is due to stand trial next year. The 18-year-old, nine-time kickboxing champion is accused of being responsible for the death of another young man in a road accident, as well as attempted murder against another person.
