Work is due to begin next week on upgrades to the aging water network at Portacarron near Oughterard, on the shore of Lough Corrib. Uisce Eireann is replacing 642 metres of water main at sites along the L-5350-6, L-5350-9 and L-53502-0 roads, with work due to begin on Monday, April 28.
