Woodside completes Louisiana LNG sell-down to Stonepeak
Oil and gas giant Woodside has completed its sell-down of a 40% interest in its Louisiana LNG facility to investment firm Stonepeak. Stonepeak will provide US$5.7 billion towards the expected capital expenditure for the foundation development of Louisiana LNG on an accelerated basis, contributing 75% of project capital expenditure in both 2025 and 2026. Woodside will supply cargoes of Liquefied Natural Gas in Japan during the winter months (December to February) from 2027 for a period of at least five years Woodside Energy and Japanese energy company JERA have signed a non-binding preliminary agreement for the sale of cargoes of liquefied natural gas during the winter peak period in Japan.
