Women's Premier League 2027 Dates Locked in From January 14 to February 7
The league’s player retention deadline is September 28, and the auction will be held in Kochi as franchises finalize squads.
On Wednesday, The BCCI announced the fifth edition of the WPL will run from January 14 to February 7, 2027, with the player auction scheduled for October 28 in Kochi.
September 28 marks the player retention deadline, giving the five franchises their first major milestone to decide which squad members they will retain for the new season.
Since the league's 2023 debut, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have emerged as the most successful teams, each securing two titles in the WPL's history.
The BCCI has yet to confirm host cities for the 2027 edition, leaving venue details to be determined at a later stage following the auction.
Scheduled before the inaugural Champions Trophy, which was recently shifted to India, the WPL continues positioning women's cricket as a central focus in the country's sporting calendar.
