Women's Institute to ban transgender members after Supreme Court ruling
The National Federation of Women’s Institutes will restrict membership to biological women from April 2026 following a UK Supreme Court ruling on legal sex definitions.

- Despite the change, the organisation said it `remains absolutely committed to delivering on that mission` and `is still committed in its 'firm belief' that trans women are women`.
