BERLIN (AP) — Han Xu had 21 points and 11 rebounds to help China top Puerto Rico 75-72 Wednesday in the qualifying round of the women's FIBA World Cup.
The Chinese women's basketball team secured a place in the quarterfinals of the World Championship in Berlin by defeating Puerto Rico by three points.
The Women's Basketball World Championship continues in Berlin on Wednesday.
The National Women's Team challenged to the end the fourth best selection in the world before falling 75-72.
The Chinese women's basketball team defeated Puerto Rico 75:72 in the preliminary round of the playoffs at the World Championship in Berlin and maintained their chance to repeat their participation in the finals from the previous championship. In the quarterfinals, one of the Czech team's group winners will face France.
