Woman killed by person backing out of driveway in Cranston
CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Cranston police say a woman is dead after she was hit by someone backing out of a driveway on Strathmore Road in Cranston Friday night. Police say the driver did not see the victim who was walking behind her. The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital but died of her injuries. The operator of the vehicle remained on scene and fully cooperated with police. Speed and impairment do not seem to be factors in this incident.…
