- On July 9, Cynthia Diaz Sosa in Key West, Florida, allegedly sprayed bear mace at the other driver after she ran over a chicken crossing the road, police said.
- She was waiting to let a chicken cross on Petronia Street, Cynthia Diaz Sosa told police, and the driver honked and ran over the chicken.
- Investigators say Sosa sprayed bear mace into the cabin, striking DeMiller and her passenger, and yanked on the driver’s door, according to investigators.
- Sosa now faces criminal charges including two counts of aggravated battery and one count of burglary with assault or battery, and her arraignment is scheduled for July 24.
- She was released on a $35,000 surety bond on July 10, court records show, and all involved are now under no-contact orders issued by a judge.
