Woman, 75, Dies After Fight with Fast-Food Worker over Drive-Thru Order Issue

Police say a 75-year-old customer died after a fight with Tim Hortons employees, and no arrests have been made as the cause of death remains pending.

  • The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating the death of 75-year-old Anita Grayson following a physical altercation at a Tim Hortons on May 13 near Ice Way.
  • Grayson entered the restaurant to address a drive-thru order issue. Once inside, police say she began 'berating a 17-year-old female employee,' prompting a 20-year-old shift lead to intervene.

  • Medics transported Grayson to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after the incident. Officials have not yet determined her exact cause of death.
  • As of Tuesday, no arrests have been made. The Fort Wayne Police Department stated, 'any loss of life is tragic,' while detectives await medical findings and continue reviewing evidence.
