The 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics are getting closer, and from today until February 6, numerous athletes will spread the values of Olympism by carrying the Slovenian Torch around the country. The Slovenian Torch Ambassador is former cross-country skier Vesna Fabjan, a bronze medalist at the 2014 Sochi Games.
The flame bearers are athletes who have written Slovenian Olympic history.
Maribor will host a special Olympic event on Tuesday, at 5 p.m. – the Olympic torch is coming to the city on its way to the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The event will take place under Pohorje, in the Pohorje Winter Fairytale Arena.
