WILTSHIRE, ENGLAND, JUL 8 – Nineteen Wiltshire schools earned the Dyslexia-Friendly Quality Mark for inclusive practices benefiting at least three dyslexic students per classroom, the British Dyslexia Association said.

  • On July 10, fifteen Wiltshire schools will be formally celebrated for earning the Dyslexia-Friendly Quality Mark at a special event.
  • This event follows sustained collaboration between Wiltshire's specialist SEN team and the British Dyslexia Association to promote dyslexia-inclusive education.
  • The marked schools demonstrate calm, supportive environments enabling all students to engage, with 19 schools in Wiltshire recognized so far for this commitment.
  • Ellen Broomé, CEO of the BDA, highlighted that in each classroom, a minimum of three students experience dyslexia, and applying inclusive strategies designed for dyslexia supports the learning of all pupils, while also stressing the importance of early detection and ongoing assistance.
  • This recognition encourages wider adoption of inclusive practices and highlights the ongoing need for early diagnosis and support to help dyslexic learners reach their potential.
