Will There Be a 2-Hour ‘FBI’ & ‘CIA’ Crossover Next Season?
Stars hope for a few two-hour crossover events next season as FBI and CIA return with back-to-back Monday airings on CBS.
Producers are actively eyeing a potential extended crossover event for FBI and CIA during the Fall 2026 season, building on the relationship established between the shows.
Showrunner Mike Weiss oversees both series, which featured organic character crossovers throughout the recent season, allowing cast integration across production sets.
FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman and CIA Case Officer Colin Glass partnered in the fusion cell, following earlier appearances by Special Agent Maggie Bell and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine.
Mike Weiss joked to TV Insider that extended events are "hard to schedule," though Gehlfuss added, "There's real opportunity for that" next season.
FBI Season 9 and CIA premiere in Fall 2026 on Mondays, continuing to provide opportunities for crossovers within Dick Wolf's expanding television franchises.
