Why Do Fuel Prices in Serbia Not Follow the Drop in Oil Prices in the World?

The General Secretary of the Association of Oil Companies of Serbia, Tomislav Mićović, told RTS that not everyone has the same costs to get oil derivatives. Due to the threat of sanctions to NIS, importers have increased their stocks at higher prices, says Mićović. Excise taxes are lower in North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is why fuel is cheaper, Mićović explains.
