Where Was ‘Dutton Ranch’ Filmed? Details on Real-Life Houses
The series used real ranches in Weatherford and outside Fort Worth, and filmed its fire scenes in Texas to match Montana locations.
The spinoff Dutton Ranch was filmed on location in Montana and Texas, according to executive producer Christina Alexandra Voros. The series features characters Beth and Rip navigating life between these two distinct landscapes.
Following a natural disaster that destroys their home in Dillon, Montana, the Duttons relocate to Rio Paloma, Texas. They seek to purchase the Edwards Ranch, a family-owned business with a legacy in the state.
The Saunders Ranch in Weatherford, Texas, serves as Beth and Rip's home, while production teams utilized property outside of Fort Worth to depict the fictional 10 Petal ranch. Some scenes were filmed at different locations to create the complete landscape.
Director Christina Alexandra Voros designed Dutton Ranch to remain distinct from Yellowstone, emphasizing the unique light and saturated environment of Texas. She collaborated with executive producer Taylor Sheridan on the visual identity.
Created by Chad Feehan, the series premiered yesterday with the first two episodes; new episodes stream on Paramount+ on Fridays before airing on the Paramount Network at 8/7c. Weekly episodes follow the May 15 debut.
