WhatsApp started testing in beta, on Android, a feature that allows you to scan physical documents directly on the app (instead of using a third-party tool). Documents scanned with this tool can then be shared in PDF format. The scanning process takes place on the user's smartphone, via the APIs offered by Google on Android.
