Cincinnati leaders detail efforts to prevent violence, crime over the summer

Cincinnati city leaders say shooting incidents and shooting victims are down in 2025 compared to the last three years, in part due to the city’s summer safety plan.

Per CPD data, the city is heading into this summer with its lowest amount of reported shootings since at least 2010. Leaders hope to build on that momentum this summer.
