"New Westbahn line closed again until 5 June

The Westbahn line between Vienna and Sankt Pölten is closed due to construction work until 5 June 2025. Commuters have to expect about 30 minutes of delay.

As planned, the new Westbahn line will be closed for 25 days as of today, 12 May 2025, due to important flood protection works.

The route is closed in the section Vienna-St. Pölten with Atzenbrugger and Lainzer Tunnel as well as Tullnerfeld station. The journey time to and from the west is extended by about 30 minutes.

The new west line of the ÖBB has been closed since today until 5 June. ÖBB is repairing the remaining damage that the floods left in autumn. Affected by the barrier is the section between Vienna and St. Pölten.
