West Des Moines among recipients of Main Street Iowa grants totaling $1.1 million

The Iowa Economic Development Authority has awarded $1.1 million in Main Street Iowa Challenge Grants to 11 communities to support the rehabilitation of underutilized downtown buildings. The grants will support projects in Boone, Centerville, Fairfield, Fort Dodge, Grundy Center, Lansing, Mount Vernon, Nevada, Newton, Ottumwa and West Des Moines. Among the projects is the conversion…
