West Africa: ECOWAS Gender Centre Sets the Course for Equality by 2030

The Gender Focal Points of the 12 member States of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) met this week in Abuja for their annual information and sharing meeting. Placed under the symbol of the 50th anniversary of ECOWAS and the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Programme for Gender Equality, this 2025 edition provided an update on actions to empower women and girls in the region.
