On Wednesday 19 February, the Netherlands announced that it would return 113 bronzes from the Kingdom of Benin to Nigeria, looted by British troops at the end of the 19th century. The British Museum in London, home to 900, still refuses to do so.

The Netherlands have officially signed a transfer agreement to give back their Benin Bronzes to Nigeria.
