Weaverville, Hayfork and more lose power as federal agency investigates cause

Trinity Public Utilities District reported all 6,868 customers in Weaverville, Lewiston, Hayfork, Douglas City, Junction City, Trinity Center and Coffee Creek lost power for four hours on Tuesday evening, March 18. Power remained on for TPUD customers in Big Bar, Hyampom, Grouse Creek and Forest Glen. In those areas TPUD power is transmitted through PG&E power lines, which were not affected.
