Weather alert for lake effect snow in Cortland and Broome counties early Tuesday morning

The National Weather Service issued a report at 2:33 a.m. on Tuesday for lake effect snow until 4:30 a.m. for Cortland and Broome counties."Localized lake effect snow bands are leading to reduced visibilities and snow-covered roads. Travelers should exercise caution and be prepared for sudden changes in conditions, especially along I-81 and State Route 17," states the weather service.
