The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement at 1:59 a.m. on Monday until 4 a.m. for Sussex, Warren, Morris and Hunterdon counties.“Areas of freezing fog and patchy freezing drizzle will continue across the area into the pre-dawn hours before temperatures rise above freezing. Caution is advised if traveling as slick and icy spots may remain, particularly on elevated and untreated surfaces,” says the weather service.
