Clarifying that the Thackeray brothers' stance is only against Hindi imposition in primary schools, Uddhav Sena MP Sanjay Raut wished Stalin luck in his battle, while drawing the line. 'Their stand against the imposition of Hindi means they will not speak Hindi and neither let anyone speak Hindi. But that is not our stand in Maharashtra,' he said.
Last April, the Maharashtra State Government announced that Hindi will be compulsory as the third language in grades 1-5 for Marathi and English schools in the academic year 2025-2026 through the National Education Policy announced by the Central Government.
