The fraudsters want to capture personal data and thus financially damage the victims

There is currently a warning against increased number abuse originating in the UK. In the past two weeks alone, 250 complaints have been registered throughout Austria.

Bromley Trading Standards is reminding residents to be wary of unexpected phone calls from people falsely claiming to be from the police or the bank, following local reports of courier fraud activity.

In case of unexpected calls by a +44 call number, you should not even take off.

"Don't stand out!" is the advice of the experts. 250 complaints have already been received by the Austrian Reporting Office of the "Radio and Telekom Regulierungs-GmbH".

On Thursday, the RTR warned of increased number abuse originating in the UK. Since 1 March alone, 250 complaints had already been registered with the relevant call number abuse department, said Klaus M. Steinmaurer, Managing Director of the Telecommunications and Post Division, in a message on Thursday."This is a very high increase within a very short period of time."
