Washington Post journalist visits UNL plastic research labs

Researchers are tracking billions of nanoparticles from microwaved plastic containers as they study possible health risks and ways to reduce exposure.

A research team at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln discovered that plastic comes with consequences. The study gained national attention after Washington Post climate reporter Shannon Osaka visited Nebraska to learn more about it and how plastic particles can end up in food and water.
