Several parts of Continental Portugal are warned of yellow due to intense heat, with temperatures above 35 °C until Friday. IPMA, ANPC and DGS are alert to the risk of fires and recommend special care with children, elderly and chronic patients.

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed from today and up to Saturday several districts of the continent under yellow alert due to hot weather, with maximum temperatures above 35 degrees in some regions. The districts of Evora, Setúbal and Beja will be from 09:00 this day and until 21:00 a.m. under yellow notice due to the persistence of high values of the maximum temperature.
