- The warehouse roof collapsed around noon while workers performed concrete casting on the first floor. Some local residents alleged that illegal construction activities had been taking place in the area for some time.
- Rescue teams from the Kolkata Police, Disaster Management Group, and Army deployed heavy machinery to remove debris and gas cutters to breach the collapsed structure. Sports Minister Indranil Khan and Urban Development Minister Agnimitra Paul reached the site to review ongoing operations.
- The state government established a control room at Nabanna to assist affected families and coordinate information. The Disaster Management Group issued helpline numbers 1070, 8697981070, 033-22143526, and 033-22535185 for support.
- Rescuers continue searching for survivors trapped beneath the debris as rescue efforts remain focused on safe evacuation. Minister Khan stated, "The priority is to rescue as many victims as possible," while authorities plan to investigate potential construction irregularities.
