Walla Walla man accused of arson pleads guilty to lesser charges - Elkhorn Media Group

WALLA WALLA – Matthew Ryan Hammond, 35, of Walla Walla, pleaded guilty on June 13 to five crimes to resolve three felony charges he was facing. Walla Walla County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Melanie Dane explained that in exchange for dropping a first-degree arson charge, he admitted to two counts of residential burglary and three gross misdemeanors, which include theft and two counts of malicious mischief for property damage.
