Due to weak demand, production rests in some of VW's plants. However, there are special shifts elsewhere.
German carmaker Volkswagen today halted production at its plants in Zwickau and Dresden for a week due to weak demand for the electric cars it makes there. It will also temporarily halt or limit production at some other plants.
The production lines at VW in Zwickau and Dresden stand still for a week. The trigger for the measure is the still weak sales of the Group's electric vehicles.
