Vote on a strike at Grundartangi

Preparations have begun for a vote on a work stoppage by members of the Akranes Workers' Union who work at the Norðurál aluminum smelter in Grundartangi. The union says it perceives little willingness to negotiate on the part of the company and therefore a work stoppage is the only option in the situation.
