Crews on the Peninsula knocked down a fire at an automotive business near the Belmont-San Mateo border Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

A voracious fire hit a car business on Tuesday morning near the border between Belmont and San Mateo. The fire started around 3:15 a.m., and destroyed at least one structure and several vehicles in Motor Masters Automotive, located in South El Camino Real, near Ruth Avenue in Belmont, the firefighters reported.
