CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Monsters dropped a 2-1 decision to the Providence Bruins on Friday night at Rocket Arena, falling to 3-2-2-1 on the season and sixth place in the AHL’s North Division standings.Providence seized control in the opening period with two late goals. Dans Locmelis scored shorthanded at 16:57, and John Farinacci added another at 19:36 to put the Bruins ahead 2-0 after 20 minutes.

Roman Ahcan netted a short-handed tally in the second period, but by then the host Monsters were trailing by two goals, and that 2-1 scoreline stood as the final Nov. 7.
