The Ethics Committee of the Icelandic Journalists' Association has ruled that RÚV and reporter Sunna Karen Sigurþórsdóttir violated the association's code of ethics. They did this by referring without warning to the current provisions of the General Penal Code in their coverage of the case of Ásthildur Lóa Þórsdóttir and her relationship with her child's father.
